I’m Nick Mustakangas, and welcome to my portfolio website.

I am a Visual Designer from Cincinnati, Ohio. I’m a jack of all trades in my field, with a wide breadth of professional experience. I use the usual graphic design software like Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create inspired work with the principles of good design, equity, and inclusion. I also have a video editing/motion design skill set with Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. In addition to knowing how to use a range of video cameras, setting up lighting, and recording sound. The latest entry in my litany of software is Figma and Adobe XD, which I’ve used to prototype webpages and design interactive and engaging sites. This, paired with an in-depth knowledge of HTML and CSS, allows me to communicate with developers in a language that they can understand.

I earned my Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, from Northern Kentucky University (Norse Up!), Majoring in Visual Communication Design, with a Minor in Electronic Media and Broadcasting. Before that, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, where I earned my Associate of Business in Applied Graphic Communication.
